I have only been to Speedy Auto twice, so I don't have a lot to say about them, except that my first impression is very good. The first time it was 5:00 on a Friday and I was driving to the US in 1 hour, but my car was making a tremendous rattling, so I was afraid something might fall off the bottom while on the highway. I called many mechanics to see if they could do an emergency check-up, but no one could accommodate, except for Speedy Auto. Even though they were scheduled to close at 5:30, they said that if I could get there as soon as possible, they would have a look at my car. I got there at 5:25, and they discovered that the flange where my exhaust pipe attaches to the car was seriously rusted, and so was the exhaust pipe. Since they could see that waiting around Ottawa for several days for new parts was simply not an option, they found an interim solution, welding pieces together to ensure that they didn't fall off my car. All this for free! Because of their kindness and generosity with their time, I will probably go back to them when I have the flange and pipe replaced. They gave me a great price quote for this.
